Industrial Visit Adani Port Visit, Mundra, (Gujarat)

Students of PU I Semester & RTU I Semester of Pacific University visited Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), Mundra (Guj.) for an industrial trip. The industrial visit was organized for the first semester students from 31st September, 2015 to 03rd Jan, 2016.

The Adani Group is India's largest multi-port operator. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) – are a part of India's leading infrastructure conglomerate.

Adani also operates Asia's largest coal import terminal and Port handles varied commodities such as coal, silica sand, rock phosphate, steel products and project cargo and machinery items. Students also got the opportunity to visit Adani Wilmar Fortune Oil refinery where students learnt about the refining and packaging process of their famous brand 'Fortune' soya oil. On last day they visited Adani Power Plant which is highest capacity private sector power plant of India. Students visited the Science city, Gandhinagar and Asia's first water vedic show at Akshardham during this visit.

Industrial Trip to Miraj Pipes

The students of Pacific Institute of Management of MBA II Semester Section A, B, C and D went on an industrial trip on 12th March 2016 to Miraj Pipes & Fittings situated in Badi, Udaipur. Mr. Pravesh Piyush, the marketing manager of the firm gave interesting insights of the industry and the factory and made the students visit the whole plant.

The students got to learn about how pipes are manufactured. He also gave an informative talk related to the production, labeling and marketing of the products and how the products are sold into the market. It was definitely an enriching experience.



Industrial Visit Jay Bee Industrial Environmental Data Micro Tuners & Micro Tech.

An Industrial trip of MBA IV semester went to Amritsar-Manali-Chandigarh. Student visited golden temple, Jaliyawala Bagh and Baga Border at Amritsar. Student were very vigorous and enthusiastic for river rafting, para gliding and sketing at Manali. They also visited Hidimba temple and Vashishtha temple as well. At Chandigarh students visited JAY BEE Industrial Environmental Data Micro Tuners and Micro Tech. They attended it with enthusiasm. They enjoyed camp fire and DJ night at Manali.



Industrial Visit at J.K. Cement Works

Industrial Visit was carried out at J.K. Cement Works, Nimbahera on 18th September, 2015 especially for semester one students. J.K. cement has three decades of experience in cement manufacturing.

The company is the second largest manufacturer of white cement in India. The purpose behind the visit was to make students aware about how different actions related to human resource; marketing, production and the packaging of cement are carried out in company.

As soon as the students reached industry, they were guided by Mr. M.S. Shekhawat and an orientation of industry was given. After the orientation all the students were headed by Mr. Shailendra Sharma & Mr. Kunal Khamesra who helped them to understand how production and the packaging of the product are done. It took almost an hour to visit the industry which was followed by questions of students. Students got a chance to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical implication.

Industrial Visit at Gujarat

Industrial trip was organized on 2 nd and 3 rd September, 2015 for MBA II year students of Pacific Institute of Management at Parle Biscuits Ltd, Nadiad, AMUL Dairy Anand and Hindustan Coca Cola, Goblaj (Ahmedabad).

During these two days visit, the students learnt about the manufacturing process of various soft drinks brand of Coca Cola, milk products of AMUL and famous brands of Parle Biscuits. They also came to know about the various factors like Quality standard, Security measures, Environmental issues and Packaging process.

Students also got the opportunity to interact with the official members of the industry. They had interactive session with the official members which was helpful for them to clarify their doubts.




Industrial Visit at Gujarat

Industrial Visit was carried out at Inani Marbles Pvt. Ltd. on 18th September, 2015 especially for first semester students. Inani Marbles and Industries Ltd. operates North India’s biggest fully automatic Italian processing unit at Chittorgadh. The purpose behind the visit was to make students aware about how different actions related to human resource, marketing are carried out in company and give them feel of managers as they have started there MBA course. The Industry is located in the outskirts of Chittorgarh.

As soon as the students reached industry, they were guided by Mr. Anuj Inani & Mr. Rishiraj Inani and an orientation of industry was given by them. After the orientation all the students were headed by Mr. RishiRaj Inani who helped them to understand how production and finishing of the marble and granite is carried out and how they reach their clients. It took almost an hour to visit the industry which was followed by questions of students.Students got a chance to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical implication

Industrial Visit at Peacok Industries Pvt. Ltd.

An industrial visit was organized for MBA-III semester students on 17th August 2015. The students were taken to the manufacturing facility of PEACOCK INDUSTRIES LIMITED (PIL) located at scenic outskirts of Udaipur.

PEACOCK INDUSTRIES LIMITED (PIL) is an ISO-9001:2008 accredited company by International Certification Services Pvt. Ltd. which is accredited by Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand. It is engaged in the manufacturing of plastic moulded furniture. Its products are also CE certified. It has a diversified product mix of plastic chairs, tables, trolley, sun lounger, and house wares sold under the brand name ITALICA. It has a wide range of injection moulding machines (both indigenous and imported) and has many moulds/dyes to manufacture plastic moulded furniture i.e. Arm Chair, Without Arm Chair, Baby Chair, Tables, Patla, Stool, Trolley and Sun lounger etc.

Students acquired in-depth knowledge about production and manufacturing management by interacting with executives of PIL.



Industrial Visit to Sangam Industries

Sangam Textile Industries at Bhilwara is one of the largest and most modernized Industries in the country. Born of the humble beginning in the year 1985 .The group today is a business giant with over 7000 employee and aims to achieve a billion dollar turnover by 2015. The Group’s Spinning Division is Ranked amongst World’s largest PV Dyed yarn Industry. Students of MBA III SEM were taken for a visit they visited various units like:

  • Weaving
  • Denim
  • Processing Units

Industrial Tour to Bombay Stock Exchange Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Infosys.

“The training at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the oldest player in the Indian Stock Market is an integral part of Pacifians' training schedules. The speakers delivered detailed lectures on different financial aspects and also handled the students' queries minutely. Investments, elevated prices, plunging monetary values, imports and exports, real life case studies on ratio analysis were some of the topics taken during the sessions. ” The students visited Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Infosys. They visited the Global Education Centre (GEC) at Infosys for a training programme giving them a very good insight of the ideologies of Industry stalwarts.

Every year the Pacific Group of Management Institute arranges for an Educational tour – a training program on Fundamental Analysis to the BSE, for its final year students. This year also a two day training program on Fundamental Analysis was arranged for 110 students of the Institute during 9 & 10 October, 2011. The two day sessions covered detailed lectures from various industry specialists. The trainers from BSE included Mr. Bhagirat S. Merchant (Ex- President, BSE), Mr. Bibhash Asar (Asar proprietors) and Mr. Manish Bansal of Value Advise. The speakers delivered detailed lectures on different financial aspects and also handled the students' queries minutely. Investments, elevated prices, plunging monetary values, imports and exports, real life case studies on ratio analysis were some of the topics taken during the sessions. After whole day of encouragement through the financial world, the students thoroughly enjoyed the Mumbai street shopping, local sightseeing as well the sudden Mumbai rains. The students had a memorable trip –both gaining knowledge and having fun. The whole programme was coordinated by Mr. Dhiraj Jain, Ms. Vrinda Goel and Mr. Devendra Shrimali Asst. Prof. After the BSE trip, the students went to Bangalore and Mysore for the 4- day Industrial tour. The students visited Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Infosys. They visited the Global Education Centre (GEC) at Infosys for a training programme, giving them a very good insight of the ideologies of Industry stalwarts.
